The Jamestown Memorial Arch and Park commemorate those who served in World War One.

The opening of the War Memorial Park and the laying of the foundation stone for the marble arch was celebrated on the 30th January 1922. The opening ceremony was performed by Mr. Lunn M.B.E. in the presence of a large crowd. A procession was held headed by a large number of returned soldiers, who were followed by the boys scouts, the brass band and schoolchildren. The left side of the entrance contains a marble tablet with the names of 26 fallen and underneath that a tablet containing the names of 86 enlistments.
