The monument commemorates those who served in World War One. It is a circular granite monument which is located close to the Hankisson Fountain.

Major-General Sir Charles Rosenthal visited Narrandera on Wednesday and unveiled the monument erected by the  citizens in honour of those who served in the great war. The monument is of Marulan granite, circular in shape, capped with a brass urn. The names of the 324 volunteers including two nurses and 105 names of soldiers who fell, are inscribed on the memorial.
