The honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War One.

The handsome Honour Roll, erected in the Horseshoe Bend School to perpetuate the memories of the gallant soldiers who gave their services for King and country during the great war, was unveiled on Sunday afternoon by Mrs. Allsopp and Mrs. Bourke, mothers of fallen soldiers in the presence of a gathering of residents.

Alderman H. Fry, Mayor of West Maitland presided, and amongst those present were Mr. W.E. O'Hearn, M.L.A., Mr. C. T. McLean, town clerk, Mr. J.B. Thompson, and other citizens who had been prominently associated with patriotic movements in the Horseshoe Bend.
