Inverell War Memorial

Erected by the people of Inverell and District

In proud and undying memory of those of their number who fell in the Great War, 1914 - 1918.

I, with uncovered head,
Salute the sacred dead
Who went and who returned not - say not `so`
Virtue treads paths that end not in the grave.
No ban of endless night exiles the brave.

This stone was laid on ANZAC Day 25th April 1924 by Senator Major-Gen. C. F. Cox. C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O., V.D.
