The hall commemorates those who served in World War One.

The ceremony of opening the recently erected memorial hall at Exeter will be performed this (Wednesday) afternoon by Mrs. R. R. Dangar, who will be assisted by the rector, the Rev. Canon Carver, and others. The building, which is a handsome one, stands in the grounds and at the rear of St. Aidan's Church, and the inscription on the foundation-stone, laid some weeks ago by Dame Margaret Davidson, is as follows:— "This hall was built, I922, to commemorate the Great War of 1914 1918, in which Australia, with Great Britain and her Allies, fought for justice and freedom."
