The Soldiers Memorial Hall was erected to commemorate those who served in World War One.  It was unveiled by the Premier of New South Wales, Mr Stevens in 1935.

The local Diggers, the townspeople and the Government had all contributed to the erection of the hall. The local people had raised funds to provide for the furnishings and the deposit on the land and the Government had lent ₤3500 at the rate of 3 per cent, payable over 20 years.

The Minister for Labor and Industry (Mr. Dunningham) visited Bundanoon last Friday afternoon to set the foundation stone of the Bundanoon Memorial Hall, to be erected at a cost of which being advanced by the Government. Why wasn't Mr. Weaver given the job of laying the stone?

A large and representative gathering of Bundanoon citizens and visitors from other centres witnessed the official opening of the Bundanoon Memorial Hall on Friday afternoon, last, which was performed by the Premier (Mr Stevens) who was accompanied by Mrs. Stevens. After the official opening all lights in the hall were extinguished. Mr. Robb, at the front of the platform, unveiled two honour rolls. With bowed beads, the audience stood in the darkened hall while a bugler sounded "The Last Post."
