Lone Pine
This Aleppo Pine (Pinus halepensis) was planted in 2006 from seeds collected from Lone Pine, Gallipoli - The site of one of the most famous assaults by Australian during the Gallipoli Campaign.
The 6 - 9 August 1915 Battle of Lone Pine resulted in over
2000 Australian casualties.
