The wooden honour roll commemorates former students and former teachers of the school who served in World War One.
The Brighton Road Primary School (1875), was built to accommodate 650 pupils with 12 teachers, and was re-purposed as an infirmary during the flu epidemic of 1918. There are 494 soldiers listed upon the honour roll, as well as the name of one Voluntary Aid Detachment Nurse, Louisa Muller.
Medals awarded on this honour roll are one Military Cross, three Distinguished Conduct Medals, two Distinguished Service Orders, and three Military Medals.
