The plaque from the former Pokatoo Hall commemorates those from the Collarenebri District who volunteered to serve in World War One.

MR. WEARNE AT POKATAROO.   Pokataroo hall, erected in memory of the soldiers who enlisted from the Collarendabri (sic) district, was opened by Mr. W. E. Wearne on Monday last. The hall contains an Honor Board, of Queensland maple, on which is inscribed 73 names. In openeing the hall and unveiling the Honor Board, Mr. Wearne made a stirring patriotic speech, and was supported by Mr. Chairman Banks and the Rev Williams. Mr. O'Toole, a prominent worker for the erection of the hall, stated the building was being opened free-of debt, the whole cost being subscribed by the people of the district.
