War Memorial Church of St MartinPrint Page
The church was erected as a war memorial to commemorate those who served in World War One. The foundation stone of the church was laid on the 24th November 1921 and the church was dedicated on the 25th March 1925.
The parishioners presented a tabernacle to the church on 25 March 1975, the 50th anniversary of the dedication. The tabernacle was dedicated on 6 April 1975 by the Right Reverend Donald N. Shearman, Bishop of Grafton.
