ANZAC BATTLEFIELD
ARIBURNU SAVAS ALANI
25.4.1915 - 20- 12 1915
In addition to our ships that carried
our ANZAC`s, a campaign was
fought beneath the waters.
The ' Silent ANZAC,' HMAS AE2,
was the first Allied submarine to penetrate
the Dardanelles strait in 1915, on the morning
the ANZAC soldiers landed at Anzac Cove.
The Naval Ode.
They have no grave but the cruel sea.
No flowers lay at their head.
A rusting hulk is their tombstone.
Afast on the ocean bed.
They shall not grow old
as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning,
we will remember them.
Lest We Forget
