The wooden honour roll commemorates former students of the school and those from the District who served in World War One.

On Saturday afternoon Mr. Dow, M. A., unveiled the school Honor Roll in the presence of a representative gathering. Mr. Dow, in an interesting address on the war and its causes and effects, referred to the important part played by Britain and her Dominions. He then unveiled the Honor Roll by drawing aside the Australian flag and read the 26 names. Afternoon tea was served by the ladies.
Geelong Advertiser (Vic), 28 May 1920.

Note :  The Lower Leigh School was at the south end of Friend-In-Hand Road and the Hamilton Highway. It is now a private residence.
