The wall was originally erected to commemorate the Centenary of ANZAC and those from the district who served in World War One. Funding was received through the ANZACCentenary Grants Program.

Students at the school helped establish the memorial, which included an honour roll with 63 names and 10 stories detailing their experiences.

The Wall now contains the honour roll of those from the district who served in World War Two which was dedicated on Remembrance Day 2017.
