The marble stone commemorates the centenary of the ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) landings at Gallipoli in Turkey in April 1915 and those from the District who served in World War One. 

Funding was received through the ANZAC Centenary Grants Program.

This Memorial Stone was dedicated on ANZAC Day 2015 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps at Gallipoli on 25th April 2015

One hundred years on, the residents of this District honour the bravery, courage and fortitude of the men and women of this  area who served our nation during World War 1
