The framed artistic paper honour roll commemorates those from Municipality of Lilydale who served in World War One.

It was resolved that a roll of honor be established for the Lilydale municipality, and the names of those who enlisted to fight for the Empire be ascertained and inscribed thereon ; also that the names of those who offered their services and were not accepted be inscribed on a separate roll.
