The wooden honour roll commemorates those from the Shire who served in World War One.

WANGARATTA AND DISTRICT. The soldiers' memorial building (in which Wangaratta Shire Honour Roll has been erected and a war trophy machine-gun placed in position), standing on a corner site in the centre of the township of Eldorado, was opened by Brigadier-General Elliott. The board contains the names of 40 men from the shire who gave their lives, and 250 others who enlisted.
