Kyogle Memorial Institute Print Page 
The Kyogle Memorial Institute building was erected to commemorate those from the District who died in service or were killed in action during World War One.
At the opening of the Memorial Institute on the 27th April 1932, two tablets were unveiled on either side of the entrance. One tablet is in memory of the fallen soldiers and the other tablet commemorates the rebuilding of the institution which replaced the School of Arts which was destroyed by fire in 1931. It is also a tribute to the work of the women of the district in the community.

This tablet was placed in position by Miss M. E. B. Amess
As a tribute to the heroic sacrifice of Kyogle District soldiers who gave their lives in the Great War, 1914 - 1918, and to whom this building is dedicated.
