The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The new monument was unveiled by RSL state president Major-General David McLachlan AO on the 3rd November 2012. Jung craftsman Murray Shanaughan made the war memorial sculpture.
Thirty-nine Jung men enlisted in the Second World War and one, Leslie Ruwoldt, was killed in action as a member of the 39th Battalion in New Guinea in 1942.
