Cootamundra CenotaphPrint Page
The Cootamundra Cenotaph commemorates those from the District who died in service or were killed in action during World War One and World War Two. It was originally unveiled to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in World War One.
Behind the cenotaph is a Wall of Remembrance which contains honour rolls of those from the District who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
Sunday afternoon's ceremony of unveiling the memorial on Albert Park, to the soldiers from Cootamundra and district, who made the supreme sacrifice, was carried out in the presence of nearly 2000 people.
