Ashgrove West Uniting Church War Memorial Print Page
Three stained glass windows commemorate members of the congregation who died in service or were killed in action during World War One and World War Two.
The West Ashgrove Methodist Memorial Church will be dedicated by Rev. T. N. Deller tomorrow afternoon. The church is at the corner of Waterworks Road and Glory Street. Of three sets of special windows one, is a memorial to those who died in World Wars I. and 11, and another is in memory of a church trustee. Provision for choir and organ console is made in a shallow transept facing a larger transept opposite, thus leaving the central position for the pulpit, communion area and rail. Prvision has been made for the installation of a pipe organ later.
Brisbane Telegraph (Qld), 19 September 1952.
Note : The Uniting Church was formerly the West Ashgrove Methodist Memorial Church.
