Vindico
HMAS Vendetta (II)
The Australian built Daring-class destroyer HMAS Vendetta (II) (1958 - 1979) followed the traditions of HMAS Vendetta (I) (1933-1945) in the Second World War and served with distinction in south-east Asia during the Cold and Vietnam Wars.
HMAS Vendetta (II) patrolled Borneo and west Malayan waters during the Malayan Emergency and Indonesian Confrontation in the 1950s and 1960s.
The destroyer later saw service with the Far East Strategic Reserve before being deployed "on the gunline" with the US Seventh Fleet in 1969 -70 during the Vietnam War.
