36 Squadron RAAF

36 Squadron RAAF was formed in 1942 and played a vital role in air transport in Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands during the Second World War.

The squadron supported the United Nations command in the Korean War and Australian forces during the war in Vietnam. The squadron also supported Australian operations in the Persian Gulf and Somalia in the 1990`s and East Timor in 2000.

This plaque is dedicated by 36 Squadron (RAAF) Association to past and present members of the squadron.
