Woodhill War MemorialPrint Page
The War Memorial commemorates those from Woodhill District who served in World War One and World War Two.
Woodhill, a small community on the New England Highway between Brisbane and Beaudesert, today will unveil its memorial to district men who served in both world wars. Mr. Muller. M.L.A., has been invited to perform the ceremony at 1.15 p.m. The memorial has been erected fronting the School of Arts building and is within sight of passersby on the highway.
Voluntary labour has erected a fence around the monument. Thirty years ago an honour board giving the names of enlistments in the 1914-18 war was unveiled and is still in the School of Arts.
