The monument commemorates those who have served in the 4th Field Regiment, Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The monument consists of three walls with a number of plaques mounted on each wall.

Dedication
This wall commemorates the 40th Anniversary of the raising of the 4th Field Regiment Royal Australian Artillery and depicts the sub-units that have formed the unit since 1960.
It also recognises the countries to which members of the unit have deployed for operational service over the last 40 years.
The wall was unveiled by Colonel K. R. Hall - Colonel Commandant Queensland Region and the Commanding Officer, Lieutenat Colonel R. H. Stanhope, on the 4th May 2000.
