The memorial commemorates those who served in the Korean War and the Malaya and Borneo confrontations between 1948 and 1966. It features life-size statues of soldiers in winter and summer uniforms. The winter uniform signifies the struggle with the extreme weather conditions that faced the Australian troops during the Korean War.
The memorial site was dedicated on the 9th May 1987 and the memorial unveiled by Sir Walter Campbell, Governor of Queensland on the 23rd April 1988.

This memorial commemorates those Australians and their Allies who died or served during the wars in Korea, Malaya and Borneo between 1948 to 1966.

This site is dedicated to a memorial to be erected in honour of those Australians and Allies who died or suffered as a result of service in Korea 1950 - 1953 Malaya 1948 - 1966 Borneo 1962 - 1966.
This plaque was unveiled by His Excellency the Hon Sir Walter Campbell, Q.C., Governor of Queensland on the 9th May, 1987
