The plaque commemorates the role of Australian naval aviators in conflicts in which Australia has been involved since World War Two.

The plaque location is indicated by the red poppy in the second image. 

It records the participation of 723, 805, 808, 816 and 817 Squadrons and the Royal Australian Navy Helicopter Flight Vietnam in the theatres of Korea, the Malayan Emergency, Malay Peninsula, Indonesian Confrontation, Vietnam and the Gulf Wars.
