The plaque commemorates No. 2 Squadron`s achievements in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.  No. 2 Squadron was a highly regarded and decorated unit.

The plaque location is indicated by the red poppy in the second image. 

After the squadron`s return from the Vietnam War,  2 Squadron was awarded two foreign unit citations: the Cross of Gallantry with Palm, from the Republic of Vietnam; and a United States Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.
