Margaret River War MemorialPrint Page
The monument commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
On 14th June 1947, the Margaret River RSL was informed that provision had been made for the erection of a ceremonial flag pole at the corner of Willmott Avenue and Town View Terrace. It was around this time that funds were raised to build a permanent memorial as a symbol of remembrance to those men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice whilst on active service.
