The Avenue of Honour commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in World Wars One and Two. Twenty five trees, mostly lemon scented gums with some sugar gums are planted along the avenue. At the base of each tree is a cast metal name plaque mounted on a concrete plinth. The original trees, which were planted in 1919 were replaced after roadworks in the 1980s.

Point Walter Honour Avenue was officially dedicated in memory of the soldiers who had fallen in World War One by the Premier of Western Australia, Mr J Mitchell on the fifteenth of November 1919. Twenty trees lined the avenue on the road leading into the reserve and each tree bore an inscribed metal tablet.
