The Hall of Memory commemorates those who served in World War One and World War Two. The hall was opened on the 14th November 1959.

Prospect Corporation has agreed to set aside a block of land in the Memorial Gardens so that members of the Prospect sub-branch of the Returned Soldiers' League can build a hall of memory there with club facilities. Last March members had to vacate their clubrooms at Prospect Oval for military and civil defence purposes. This has seriously affected the activities of the sub-branch. The president (Mr. C. B. Neill) appealed today for subscriptions. Until the hall is built, monthly meetings will be held in the Prospect Town Hall.
News (Adelaide), 19 January 1943.

In order that the memorial hall being erected by Prospect RSSAILA shall not be confused with that of N.A. Football Club, which is in close proximity on Prospect Oval, the committee has decided that it shall be named "The Hall of Memory" and clubrooms. The foundation stone of the building will be laid on Sunday next, November 16, at 3 p.m., by Brig. A. S. Blackburn, VC. The Rev. H. E.G. Shepherd will officiate at the dedication ceremony. Invitations have been accepted by numerous organisations to attend, and in addition the general public are invited to be present.
