Thoona Memorial HallPrint Page
The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
An important public meeting will be held at Thoona on Wednesday evening, June 3, with the object of discussing the erection of a new Memorial Hall. The Thoona Memorial Hall committee is faced with having to commence the project, but a Government grant of £1,500 lacked interest by district residents. A meeting was called some time ago, but it had to be abandoned on account of insufficient attendance. The organisers hope that district residents will seriously consider the position, otherwise there is a chance of the grant withdrawn.
