A memorial commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The memorial was originally built to commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action during World War One, but additional plaques have been added to commemorate other conflicts.
The memorial was originally erected by public subscription to commemorate 116 soldiers from the district who paid the supreme sacrifice in World War One. The memorial was unveiled on the 30th January 1921 by Dr. J.R.Harris M.L.C., in front of a large assembly. The memorial cost £690 to erect.
