Photographs supplied by Kent Watson / Graeme Saunders

The War Memorial was originally unveiled on the 6th July 1930 in memory of the soldiers and sailors who fell in the Great War.  The memorial now honours the fallen of World War Two, Malaya, Korea and Vietnam and those who served their King and Country.

Funding was received through the Anzac Centenary Grants Program in 2015 for a plaque to be installed on the memorial to commemorate the local men and women who served in the First World War.

Monument Characteristics: The Memorial is a white marble statue of a World War One soldier with arms reversed on a granite plinth that has four red granite columns.
