Garfield War MemorialPrint Page
The monument commemorates the men and women of Garfield and District who served in the Boer War, World Wars One and Two, Korea and Vietnam.
The new memorial was unveiled in 2001 and replaced the stone cairn and flagpole. A plaque at the base of the memorial commemorates ANZAC Day 2015.

The landing at Gallipoli of Australian nad New Zealand soldiers took place on April 25 1915
This event created the word "ANZAC" and a centenary later this plaque commemorates ANZAC Day April 25 2015
