This memorial was dedicated on the 4th day of October 2003 by the RSL State President Mr. Keith Hall
The unveiling was performed by the local State Member of Parliament Mr. Gerard Martin & Oberon`s oldest RSL Sub-Branch member Mr John Howell

The pedestal under the light was built of brick from the original house owned by C. W. Cunynghame Jr.
