The honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War One and World War Two. The roll was originally unveiled to commemorate those who served in World War One with the World War Two plaques being added at a later date.

The roll of honour consists of three marble tablets; the larger tablet commemorating World War One and two smaller tablets commemorating those who served in World War Two including Women's Services. The honour rolls are attached to a brick wall outside the Minmi Progress Hall.

The citizens of Minmi and surrounding districts met on Friday evening last for the purpose of unvelling the local roll of honour. Mr. R. Whent, president of the Patriotic Committee, and chairman of the evening, invited Mrs. D. Watkins to unveil the honour roll, and Mr. D. Watkins, MHR, to perform the unveiling ceremony. Mr. Watkins said it was a credit to the people of Minmi to have such a monument in memory of the local soldiers. He noted that from Minmi 93 had answered the call. Eleven of them would never come back, and he conveyed his deepest sympathy to the relatives of those who had fallen. If there was anyone who played the part of a soldier in this war it was the Australian.

Australians had been privileged to be represented upon every front in the theatre of war, in Flanders, Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Jerusalem. Whenever the Australians went into battle, it was with a most cheerful and fearless heart. Messrs. Estell, Hector, and Rev. Rolph also addressed the gathering. Mrs. D. Watkins, at the request of a lady, placed a wreath on the monument, in memory of those who had made the supreme sacrifce. The roll of honour bears the inscription: "Erected by the citizens of Minmi, in honour of the men who answered their country's call, and fought in the great war."
