Eugowra War MemorialPrint Page
The War Memorial commemorates those from the district who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. It was originally erected to commemorate those who served in World War One.
The structure and the World War One roll were unveiled on 25 April 1931 and World War Two and later conflicts roll was unveiled on 25 April 1992.
Saturday was a "red letter" day in Eugowra, when the Honor Roll on the splendid monument erected in the park, was unveiled. A procession was formed in front of the Police Station, and marched to the monument, where a very impresssive service was held by the Rev. Mr. Pitcher, and attended by practically the whole of the district. A collection was taken up and £135 was raised in a few minutes. The whole of the money wanted was raised.
