The Dorrigo War Memorial was originally erected to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action during World War One.
The names of those who died iin service or were killed in action during World War Two were added at a later date, and the monument was rededicated on ANZAC Day 1998.
On Saturday afternoon the soldiers memorial was unveiled by General Cox in the presence of a large crowd. The stone is inscribed with the names of 41 men who laid down their lives in the late war and states that Dorrigo's contribution of men to the war was 461.
