The Clock Tower Memorial was originally erected to commemorate those who served in World War One. The tower was remodelled in 1951 and dedicated to those who served in both World Wars. Additional plaques have been added to commemorate later conflicts.
ANZAC Mall was opened on the 17th June 1995 and the commemorative pathway and extended rose garden were unveiled on the 8th November 1998. Funding of $27273 was recived in 2018 through the Armistice Centenary Grants Program for the restoration of the clock tower.
The foundation stone for the Campsie Memorial Clock Tower was laid by the Mayor of Canterbury, Alderman Parry on the 28th May 1932. It was erected by the Campsie Women`s Strong Post, who were a group which welcomed home returning servicemen. The clock tower was opened by Mrs Marr, wife of major Marr M.L.A. on the 25th June 1932.
