The hall was erected to commemorate those who served in World War One and World War Two.

A large and enthusiastic meeting of the citizens of Bellata and district decided to build a new hall as a memorial to Soldiers of both World Wars. The initial procedure was discussed at length, and a Committee formed to arrange finance and a new site for the building.
