Alstonville War MemorialPrint Page
The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
It is a brick construction with inlaid marble panels relocated from the Alstonville Showgrounds Memorial Gates which were erected in 1924. The plaques from the gates were damaged and it was hoped that they could have been returned to the memorial gates that are at the showgrounds. However they were retained in place and new black granite plaques have been placed over the top.
In 2018, an $18.000 grant was made under the Federal Government’s Armistice Centenary Grants Program to upgrade the Elizabeth Ann Brown War Memorial Park and the War Memorial.
