Commemorative Wall of RemembrancePrint Page
The wall commemorates those who have served in World War Two and subsequent conflicts.
Each plaque on the wall is dedicated to a World War Two veteran or those who had served in later conflicts who are living or dead, provided they lived in or were born in the City of Gosnells. An additional plaque has been placed on the wall to commemorate 100 years of ANZAC.
The new Commemorative Wall of Remembrance replaces an existing Avenue of Trees memorial and plaques on Lissiman St, Gosnells that had been damaged over time.
The small plinths that were still intact, engraved with the names of Gosnells residents who served in World War Two that were placed at the base of the trees at the Avenue of Trees memorial have been relocated to the garden beds adjacent to the new wall.
The project was an initiative of Kenwick rotary club in partnership with the Gosnells RSL, Gosnells community men’s shed and Amaroo care services.
