Lower Inman Memorial HallPrint Page
The hall commemorates those who have served in in the various conflicts in which Australia has been invoved.
The original hall was built in 1923 and there were plans in 1946 for the hall to be demolished and a new hall erected on the site to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two.
The original hall built of galvanised was relined and painted and opened as the Lower Inman Memorial Hall in 1956.
The Lower Inman Hall, which has now been fully lined and painted, will be re-opened with a dance on Saturday night, 24th March. The hall committee has spent over £500 in improvements during recent months and owing to its ideal position in close proximity to Victor Harbour the hall should prove popular for entertainment purposes. As a small debt has been incurred, the committee is hopeful of good support at the dance in order to liquidate the debt. Mr. H. P. Roberts will act as master of ceremonies and George Toop's band will supply the music for dancing. Supper will be provided.
