The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
PROPOSED OAKLANDS MEMORIAL HALL
During the closing stages of the last World War, the public of Oaklands and district initiated a fund to build a Memorial Hall in honour of those who served in two world wars. Since that time much hard work and effort has gone into raising funds for this worthy objective. Contract drawings have nearly been completed by the architect, and tenders will be invited very shortly.
