The wall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. A plaque dedicated to National Servicemen is located on the wall.
The wall was upgraded in 2018 and the Armistice Mural took six months to create. It was designed and created by Janic Orchard and consturcted with the help of volunteer members of the community. It is made of 86,750 individual vitreous glass tiles which took 4,552 hours to create.
