Muttaburra CenotaphPrint Page 
The cenotaph commemorates the men and women of Muttaburra and District who have served in the various conflicts and peacekeeping in which Australia has been involved.
The cenotaph was funded by the ANZAC Centenary Grants program. In front of the cenotaph is a series of pavers commemorating the Centenary of ANZAC and features inscriptions by the local school children on what ANZAC means to them.

Muttaburra Cenotaph
Our cenotaph was built to honour all those residents of Muttaburra and District who have served Australia in conflict and peacekeeping. It is dedicated to those who paid the supreme sacrifice.
We remember them.
Unveiling and dedication of the cenotaph on 25th April, 2015 was performed by Mayor, Cr. Rob Chandler and Mrs. Pearl Langdon as part of the 100 year commemoration of World War I.
The spirit of ANZAC, with its human qualities of courage, mateship, sacrifice and honour continue to have meaning and relevance for our sense of national identity.
This project was made possible by the support of the Australian Federal Government and Barcaldine Regional Council, along with kind donations from Donald Crombie, son of D. C. C. Crombie, of Greenhills and Daniel Hart, 1st cousin of D. C. C. Crombie of Greenhills.

Paving The Glory
Commemorating the Centenary of ANZAC
The Paving the Glory project was completed in 2014 / 15 by the students of six schools in the Barcaldine Regional Council area to commemorate the Centenary of ANZAC.
The sentences etched into these pavers
are our children`s thoughts about what
the ANZAC legend means to them.
The project is proudly supported by the Barcaldine Regional Council and the Queensland Government.
Muttaburra Remembers WWI
Launch of the book Following Their Footsteps, was on 25 April, 2015. This was produced and compiled by J. Gray, J. McClymont, K. Robinson and S. Wyton with assistance from Barcaldine Regional Council and Muttaburra Bushmen`s Carnival.
