The Memorial Gardens were established in 2013 in memory of those from the local community who served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.   A helicopter had been placed at the site in 2012 and the park also contained a memorial.

The gardens were landscaped and extended and opened on the 25th April 2015 as the Caloundra RSL Sub-Branch Memorial Garden.
