Commencement of Donald Horne BuildingPrint Page 
The monument commemorates the commencement of construction of the Donald Horne Building in 2021. The building was named after Donald Horne, AO was raised in Muswellbrook and the town provided much of the literary backdrop for his work The Education of Young Donald (1967).
The building has been completed and was opened on 18 July 2023 by the Prime Minister for Australia, the Honourable Anthony Albanese, M. P.
