A steam locomotive and brass plaque commemorate all employees who worked at the Cardiff Railway Workshops during the steam era from 1928 to 1968.
Note : Following the closure of the Cardiff Workshops by the State Rail Authority, Locomotive 1042 was moved in 1994 to Maitland, repainted and plinthed. The workshop site is now occupied by Downer Rail.
