Canecutter StatuePrint Page
The canecutter memorial, instigated by local resident Mario Torrisi, celebrates and honours the history of the Hinchinbrook’s rich sugar cane history.
The statue built locally by artists Fay Morris and Bob Britton of the Ingham Potters Club was funded by members of the community and is an ode to the history of canecutters.
